McCann-craft, Inc. is a residential design/ build firm with over 27 years of experience in all types of residential remodeling and architectural design. The fundamental goal of this firm is and remains to offer clients sound construction planning and architectural design in developing solutions to the many unique problems presented by updating and expanding older and traditional residences and to execute those solutions with the utmost integrity and responsibility. The firm is headed by Michael McCann, AIA, a registered architect since 1980 with licenses in both New York and Connecticut.McCann-craft, Inc. is licensed as a home improvement contractor in New York and Connecticut. Mike is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a B. Architecture degree, where he was valedictorian of the graduating architectural class. At graduation, Mike received the award for most promising designer by the New York Institute of Technology faculty. Clients have found it especially attractive and convenient to deal with one person throughout the duration of their project. Mike personally designs and supervises each project with daily site visits. McCann-craft, Inc. employs several carpenters, but has also amassed a superior and talented group of subcontractors to cover all the trades, most of whom have dealt with the firm for over twenty years. This close working relationship with these subcontractors has made them especially responsive. Projects range from master bedroom suites, bathrooms and kitchens to total redesign and construction of entire residences. A hallmark of McCann-craft, Inc. is the large number of clients with whom Mike has long relationships, several which stretch over twenty years. McCann-craft, Inc. has executed multiple projects with many of its clients and has even retained residences through several owners.
